In 2004 New York local Leah Mcsweeney, a self professed juvenile
delinquent, and all round bad girls realised a lifelong dream!
In the already bussling New York street scene heaps of companies were
catering to a growing mens market of sneaker fiends and trend-junkies,
but few companies were recognizing the huge slice of pie that lay in
the female scene, except crazy little Leah.

She and her friends had always joked about a crew they were in called
M.O.B (Most Official Bitches) and they lived to that life credo,
“There are definitely elements of street in us – I’ve had way too many
bar fights – but it is not for people to take so literally and
seriously, but people were.”

In 2002, after bottling a police officer in the back of the head for
beating on her friends at a bar, the cop turned his attention to Leah,
smashing her face against a subway grate several times, and the rest
as they say is history!
Leah sues the City of New York, wins the case and bank-rolls her
clothing line catering specifically for girls – Married to the MOB!
After its inception in 2004, MOB has never looked back, in a street
culture inundated with guys apparel, MOB have tried and succeeded in
bringing the hard hitting attitude and risqué design style to the
forefront of brand success.

She started out modest -- making T-shirts that she and her friends
would want to wear, and her first creation, the "Supreme Bitch" shirt,
caught the attention of Supreme Store owner James Jebbia, who picked
the line up for one of his shops.
“Guys had SSUR, they had Alife, they have all these other dope brands,
but there was nothing there for the girls,” says McSweeney. However,
the budding success of MOB is in full bloom with international
distribution of its exclusive designs that offer women equal
opportunity for dapper street wear getups.

With Leahs gorgeous sister, Sarah, the face and body of the company,
and iconic tees being churned out (“Boys ain`t shit but tricks and
hoes” Tee), an ever-updated blog, growing in numbers everyday with
constant entries from M.O.B crew member Tabatha (Futura 2000`s
daughter) and growing following around the world, have left the top
companies/brands in the urban culture scene clambering to do
collaborations with this female juggernaut.
Obviously Leah looks for only the best, M.O.B`s work with Fafi and KAWS,
But most notably the extremely limited edition Reebok Freestyle
Sneaker for omnipotent French store Colette!

MOB has now reached the shores of our city and is going quick! DO NOT MISS OUT LADIES!
